PediatricSpeech
About us

A calmer way to start the speech therapy journey

Most parents arrive here after a comment from a teacher, a pediatrician, or a quiet worry of their own. We built this site to meet that moment with clarity instead of overwhelm.

When a child is slow to talk or hard to understand, the internet tends to make things worse. You search a symptom and land on a wall of clinical terms, scary worst-cases, and sales pitches. None of it answers the question you actually have, which is usually simple: is my child okay, and what should I do next?

PediatricSpeechTherapist exists to answer that question well. We explain what speech-language pathologists do, what the milestones look like, and when it makes sense to reach out. Then we help you find a therapist who fits your family, your location, and your schedule.

We are an educational resource and a directory, not a clinic. We do not diagnose and we do not treat. What we do is take the fog out of those first few steps so that, by the time you talk to a real therapist, you already understand the lay of the land.

What we believe

The principles behind everything here

Parents first

Every page is written for a worried parent at 11pm, not for a search engine. Plain words, no jargon, no fear-mongering.

Honest, not pushy

Sometimes the right answer is to wait and watch. We will tell you that, even though we would rather you book a visit.

Built around real therapists

Our directory exists to connect families with qualified, licensed speech-language pathologists who genuinely work with kids.

Early and gentle

We believe in early support delivered with patience. Progress in speech rarely comes from pressure.

Ready when you are

Browse the directory to find a therapist, or read the guides to learn what to look for. There is no wrong place to start.
